Terms of Service

Last updated

Qirsh is a tool for tracking money you enter yourself. It is not a bank, not a payment service, and not financial advice — it can never move money, and where its figures differ from your bank's, your bank is right. Your data stays yours: export or delete it whenever you like. The core app is free.

1. This agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Zaid Haddadin, trading as Qirsh (“Qirsh”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Qirsh.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.

2. What Qirsh is

Qirsh is a personal-finance tracker. You enter your accounts, cards, loans, installment plans and transactions, and it organises them, projects what falls due, and models how credit-card grace periods, carried balances and interest are calculated.

Qirsh is not:

  • a bank, a payment institution, or a money-transmission service;
  • connected to any bank, card network, or financial institution;
  • able to move, hold, send, or receive money — there is no such function in the product;
  • a lender, broker, credit-reference agency, or accountant.

3. Not financial advice

Read this one. Qirsh presents figures — interest, payoff dates, minimum payments, remaining balances — that are calculated from what you entered, using general models of how lenders work. They are estimates for your own planning. Your bank or lender applies its own contractual terms, rounding, fees and timing. Where Qirsh and your lender disagree, your lender’s figures are the ones that count. Always check a statement or contract before acting on a number you saw here.

Nothing in Qirsh is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to take out, refinance, or settle any credit product. Decisions you make about your money are yours. If you need advice, speak to a qualified professional.

Qirsh’s output is only as good as its input. Because every figure comes from what you typed, an incorrect entry produces an incorrect projection.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to use Qirsh.
  • The details you register with must be accurate, and you must verify your email address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
  • Tell us promptly at support@qirsh.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • Accounts are personal. Do not share your login.

Because your password is stored only as a one-way hash, we cannot recover it — we can only help you reset it.

5. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • break the law, or use Qirsh to launder money or disguise the proceeds of crime;
  • attempt to access another user’s data, or probe, scan, or breach our security;
  • disrupt the service, or place automated load on it beyond normal personal use;
  • copy, resell, or redistribute the service;
  • reverse-engineer it, except to the extent that law expressly permits.

Security researchers are welcome. If you find a vulnerability, report it to security@qirsh.app before disclosing it, and we will not pursue you for good-faith research.

6. Your data

What you enter stays yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you: to store, process and display your data back to you, and to back it up.

You can export a full copy at any time as JSON (or your transactions as CSV), and deleting your account permanently erases it, as described in the Privacy Policy. Export before you delete — deletion cannot be undone.

7. Price and paid features

The core of Qirsh is free, and is intended to stay free. Tracking your accounts, cards, loans, installments, budgets and goals is not going behind a paywall.

Some features cost us money each time they run. If we charge for those, it will be to recover that cost, the price and limits will be shown before you buy, and nothing you already rely on will move behind the paywall retroactively. If we ever introduce a charge for something currently free, we will tell you in advance and you may decline it and keep using the free service.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Qirsh available and correct, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and we may change or retire features. Where a change materially reduces what you get, we will give reasonable notice.

Qirsh is under active development. Some features are new, and defects are possible — which is exactly why section 3 matters and why export exists.

9. Intellectual property

The Qirsh name, logo, design, and software are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service. They do not transfer any ownership to you, and do not let you use our branding without written permission.

10. Ending this agreement

You may stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to close, or that is being used to harm others or the service. Except where the law or the seriousness of the breach prevents it, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

11. Warranties

Except as this section says, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Qirsh is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its calculations will match those of any specific lender.

Consumer rights are not affected. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or anywhere else with mandatory consumer-protection law, you keep every statutory right you have — including rights concerning goods and digital content that are not as described or not of satisfactory quality. Nothing here overrides those rights, and where a term in these conditions conflicts with them, your statutory rights win.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or opportunity, or for financial decisions you make on the basis of figures the app displayed. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 50 JOD.

If you are a consumer, this limit applies only so far as your local law permits, and never to the excluded liabilities above.

13. App Store terms

If you obtained Qirsh from the Apple App Store, the following also apply and prevail over anything inconsistent above:

  • This agreement is between you and us only — not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Qirsh or its content.
  • Your licence to use Qirsh on Apple-branded devices is as set out in Apple’s Media Services Terms, except that it is non-transferable.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Qirsh. Support requests go to support@qirsh.app.
  • If Qirsh fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation in respect of Qirsh.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim that Qirsh infringes intellectual property rights, and for any product-liability or legal-compliance claim relating to it.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US Government prohibited-parties list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman, Jordan have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email and in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Qirsh afterwards means you accept them. If you do not, you may close your account and export your data. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
